Tampa Bay Bariatric Physician, Mark A. Roberts, M.D., began his bariatric specialty while in practice as a Family Physician. He knew that weight loss was the only solution to help permanently eradicate some of his patients’ illnesses, but so many of them struggled with losing the weight. After many years of practice, he became frustrated with only treating the symptoms of obesity and not the condition, itself. Dr. Roberts opened WeightSmart MD to specifically treat obesity.
